Again the hearts of friends and neighbors have been saddened by the Death Angel visiting our community and taking from us Mrs. Lois Lawson. She bore her affliction for two weeks with great patience and on Friday night, September 4, fell asleep in the arms of Jesus.
She was a tender and loving companion and mother whose place can never be filled by another. She was converted early in life and united with the Methodist Church. She was the mother of nine children, three of whom the loving Savior called home in infancy.
A husband, five sons, one daughter, and aged father, one brother, a stepmother and two half brothers and one half sister and many other relatives and friends are left to mourn her departure. She was 53 years old.
The body was laid to rest in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery aka Roller Cemetery to await the resurrection morn.
