Roseberry Cemetery Transcribed from The Story Of Stella: Pioneer Town of Newton County, Missouri by Blanche Pogue Donated to Newton Co, MO in memory of Ruth Irene Woodruff nee FRY (30 June 1913 – 2 January 1999) by: Garron M. Woodruff The Roseberry Cemetery The Roseberry Cemetery is a small family plot on the former Roseberry farm located three miles east of Stella near Indian Creek. The farm is now part of the Longacres Farms, Inc., formerly owned by Lela Northrop’s father. Much love is shown for the ones buried here by the nice stones placed at the graves. The plot is enclosed with a good fence and a little grove of trees shelter the graves. Family members visited the graves until one by one they also found their resting place. Chalmer Roseberry is the last to visit the cemetery, to my knowledge. He too, has passed on and is buried in Macedonia Cemetery. -By Lela L. Northrop. There are five graves in the plot, namely: John Roseberry, born January 13, 1818, died September 17, 1892 Amanda Roseberry, wife of John Roseberry, born September 1, 1821, died October 14, 1870 Margareta, wife of L. C. Roseberry, died February 17, 1874, aged 20 years, 7 months, 25 days Claude C., son of L. C. and N. S. Roseberry, born May 15, 1880, died February 22, 1881 Guy, son of L. C. and N. S.
